Mother of Invention

I am delighted to say that following an appearance at The Business Network South Humberside event in February the next seminar in Manchester on Thursday 18th August at The Lowry Hotel is being given by Sharon Wright, award winning inventor who caused a sensation on the BBC2 Dragon’s Den programme with offers from all the judges for her Magnamole product. Sharon’s inspiring and motivating story, now available as a book entitled ‘Mother of Invention’, will cover not only the challenges of bringing a product to market and then on to global success, but will also touch on the more personal challenges she has had to overcome.

Whenever you attend a Networking event, probably the only thing you need to remember to help you get the most from the format is that you are there to get the people you meet to know, like and trust you.

Thanks Will

Will Kintish recommended, at his presentation at the last Manchester event, that if you are pressed for time and need to choose between Social Media and Face-to-Face Networking, always go for the personal Face-to-Face activitity. Can’t argue with that; but I will say that judging by the tremendous information Will provided at the seminar on LinkedIn, it does illustrate that once you have got to grips with LinkedIn it can prove to be a great business tool – so if you do have time, my suggestion would be to book Will to show you how to get the most from the format – and do both.

Taking Advantage Of Spending Cuts Rather Than Taking Cover

Back at White Heather this Wednesday (6th) for our July event with long standing member Hurstons presenting the seminar. It looks to be a timely topic, as they will be discussing ways that the unprecedented changes to public spending could be used to your advantage. Follow this link for further details or to book.
